Sandustry Artifact Puzzles — All Known Puzzle Rooms and Solutions
Sandustry artifact puzzles are progression gates connected to the ancient-civilization exploration path, not ordinary factory rooms. A Demo patch explicitly named the first Artifact puzzle and changed it because players could get stuck; Early Access still treats Artifact hunting as formal progression.

How to find Sandustry artifact puzzles
Start by pushing through normal exploration and only return to an ancient room when you have the tools it asks for. The first Artifact puzzle is confirmed from Demo patch notes: it was redesigned, received a no-fire tooltip, and gained Unstuck / Respawn support because players could dead-end themselves. That confirms an environmental puzzle room, not simply a wall to explode.
For the older second-relic route, a Crackstone barrier was the documented gate; the Tier 4 Rocket Launcher costs 2,000 Gold and can open Crackstone. In Early Access, later Research adds the Locator, which uses Void Juice to scan for hidden alien Artifacts.
Sandustry artifact puzzles and the progression chain
Artifact puzzles sit beside the factory loop rather than inside a belt recipe. The practical chain is Gold production and Research into advanced exploration tools, then a Crackstone gate or Puzzle Room, then Artifact progression. If the room is blocking you, improving the factory can be the real next step because the missing tool may be the gate.
Later searches have a different loop: Void Juice feeds the Locator, and the Locator scans for hidden alien Artifacts. Use the Relic terminology guide when older posts call the target a relic, and keep the Pyramid separate: it is not yet confirmed as a solvable Artifact puzzle. Do not invent a normal machine recipe for artifacts or assume a chamber always contains one.
Use tips and common mistakes
Keep loose Sand and Water out of a puzzle room; players report that material can be difficult to remove and may interfere with a setup. A no-fire area is an intentional restriction, not a launcher bug. If you are physically stuck, try Unstuck / Respawn before restarting the whole save, and do not copy a Demo walkthrough as if it were an Early Access solution.

Frequently asked questions
Are all Sandustry Artifact puzzle solutions confirmed for Early Access?
No. The first Artifact puzzle exists, but the current complete solutions, room count and rewards still need Early Access verification.
Why can I not fire in an Artifact room?
A no-fire restriction was explicitly added to the first Artifact puzzle. Treat it as a room rule rather than a broken weapon.
Does every ancient room contain an Artifact?
No confirmed source supports that assumption. A chamber should not be treated as a guaranteed Artifact reward.
