Sandustry Relic Guide — Locations, Artifacts and How to Find Them

For the known Demo lead, research the Tier 4 Rocket Launcher for 2,000 Gold and use it to break the Crackstone barrier that blocked the route to the second relic. The regular Gun and Shovel do not damage Crackstone, so standing at the gate with starter gear cannot progress that route.

Early Access is broader than two fixed relic coordinates. The confirmed later Research path uses a Locator filled with Void Juice to scan for hidden alien Artifacts. Start with objectives and ancient areas, then use the scan route when it unlocks. Do not promise that Demo positions, a specific world seed, or every chamber still produces the same target.

Relics are not a normal material recipe. The useful player loop begins with the factory: make Gold, invest in Research, unlock stronger tools, clear a Crackstone barrier, and continue into ancient progression. That is why a player who searches only for a map coordinate can stall while the real requirement is a missing Research unlock.

The late-game loop is equally connected to production: Void production supplies Void Juice, Void Juice fuels the Locator, and the Locator points toward hidden alien Artifacts. Use the Artifact Puzzles guide for room restrictions and the Artifacts overview for the confirmed Tier 5 Locator context.

If the UI does not say Relic, search for Artifact or Alien Artifact instead; the wording changed across Demo and Early Access sources. Crackstone in front of an old relic route is not proof that you are lost. Avoid assuming every ancient chamber has loot, and use Unstuck / Respawn if a puzzle room traps your character rather than immediately resetting the save.
